Welcome to Preston Only

Preston is the administrative and commercial capital of Lancashire and is a lively and thriving town. Given city status in 2002 in celebration of the Golden Jubilee, Preston offers shoppers a wide choice of retail outlets and offers a multitude of live entertainment in the form of theatre, musicals, opera and films.

Historically an important centre of the cotton industry, the Harris Museum and Art Gallery plays host to a large collection of costume, contemporary art and local history or you can enjoy a stroll around the picturesque marina, well known for the annual maritime festival and full of restaurants in which to taste the local cuisine.
A Multi-million pound redevelopment of the city has been agreed with all the benefits that this will afford in an already thriving city, as well as enhancing shopping facilities and all the beautiful Grade I listed buildings which are a feature of Preston.

This is a city which embraces its cultural diversity with yearly events including the Preston Mela Festival and intriguing Easter Egg Rolling event and where you can relax in one of its many outdoor cafes. It is also an excellent base for touring to nearby Lancaster, the Lake District and Blackpool.
